Foodies Galore!!!!!

Monday, November 12th, 2007

As Singaporeans (well at least most of us), one of the key concerns is WHERE CAN WE GET GOOD FOOD? Popular votes has been the famous Banana Leaf Nasi Padang, the Japanese Food and the home-made iced lemon tea just at the coffee shop downstairs (how convenient). Venturing further, there is a french restaurant at Fortune Centre called “Basil Alcove” that serves French food at an affordable price. Yes, we have many discussions of where to eat…

Set2

It has been about 2 weeks…. we’ve gotten most of the things up and running… except for some drilling in between… and getting used to the new surroundings. Some of the furniture trickled in…we have a “dining” table, a “kitchen cabinet”, a “wardrobe”. It really almost feels like home. (Except that the wardrobe is used to store cables, books and what nots). Oh yes, we have shower facilities. Plus a little small basin for the future office cat to do its business. We’ve started having presentations and had our first office lunch. Two rooms are still work in progress , one of them being Wally & Ray’s. Guess we have to hear their discussions over the island for now…

Set3

Ooh… check out our “clubby” toilet lights. Can fight with MOS! According to Wally, they consume 180 watts. To justify the power consumption (Save the earth!), he is installing a dimmer.

The Move!

Move1

Everybody was activated… to move from Purvis to Waterloo. Thankfully Hin Hee managed to borrow her mom’s big white car to help move the little stuff over. The Purvis office looked pretty manageable for the move. But once we started putting stuff into boxes, one really wonder where did all these things come from! Well… Hin Hee was glad to get the excuse to drive and we sure were glad that the aircon was working really well.

Move2

It was tough stuff, packing and moving the WHOLE DAY!!! It was substitute gym sessions for Ray and Jael. But we sure had fun moving. As we carried the boxes past Miss Clarity Cafe, the manager was truly sad to see us go…
